Daily Mix: a tiny "Tracks per mix" value no longer stops the whole run.

The Navidrome settings form offers "Tracks per mix" from 10 up, but the plugin accepted any positive number typed in by other means. With a value under four, a Daily Mix whose anchor had two related artists and other artists in the genre made the plugin crash while picking tracks, and a crash inside a plugin call ends that run for every user and every mix, not just the one mix that would have been skipped anyway for being under the ten track minimum. The Daily Mix now fills its three featured artists and the rest of the mix against one budget, so it can never ask for more tracks than the mix holds, at any size. Mixes at the normal sizes come out exactly as in 0.9.23.

Refresh from NaviBeat: when the server cut a refresh or re-roll short in the middle, the request stayed in the plugin's mailbox with no answer, and NaviBeat never heard back. The plugin now tries such a request once more after the time limit has passed, and if that run also never finishes it answers that the request failed.

Also in this release: two functions nothing called any more (an older playlist writer and its helper) are gone, and a comment about the ordering of anchor tracks now says what the code does since 0.9.23.

Which file do I download?

  • Navidrome 0.63.x: navibeat-mixes.ndp.
  • Navidrome 0.64.0 or newer: navibeat-mixes-navidrome-0.64.ndp.

Important on 0.64: rename the file. Navidrome knows a plugin by its file name, and it keeps the plugin's settings and learned listening history under that name. Rename navibeat-mixes-navidrome-0.64.ndp to navibeat-mixes.ndp and put it in place of the old file. Keep only one NaviBeat Mixes file in the plugins folder.

To update: download the file for your Navidrome version, replace the file in your plugins folder (rename it first on 0.64), restart Navidrome, and enable the plugin again in Settings > Plugins. The mixes are rebuilt on the next run.
