Daily Mixes feature three artists.
Each Daily Mix is still built around one anchor artist, the same artist as the Artist Radio with that number. Now it also features the two artists closest to that anchor: the ones that share the most of its genres, and when that is a tie, the ones you play more. At the default size of 30 the anchor and the two related artists bring 6 tracks each, and other artists from the same genres bring the other 12, at most 3 each (the "Most tracks from one artist" setting). The three featured artists take turns through the mix, so no two tracks in a row come from the same one, and the mix still opens with the anchor's strongest track. When a related artist has fewer tracks, other artists in the genre fill its place, and when the library has nothing else in those genres, the anchor still fills the mix, so no Daily Mix goes missing. Artist Radio does not change: it is still one artist. Thanks to vbrzezina for the idea (#14).
Which file do I download?
- Navidrome 0.63.x:
navibeat-mixes.ndp. - Navidrome 0.64.0 or newer:
navibeat-mixes-navidrome-0.64.ndp.
Important on 0.64: rename the file. Navidrome knows a plugin by its file name, and it keeps the plugin's settings and learned listening history under that name. Rename navibeat-mixes-navidrome-0.64.ndp to navibeat-mixes.ndp and put it in place of the old file. Keep only one NaviBeat Mixes file in the plugins folder.
To update: download the file for your Navidrome version, replace the file in your plugins folder (rename it first on 0.64), restart Navidrome, and enable the plugin again in Settings > Plugins. The mixes are rebuilt on the next run.
