On Repeat can now count the plays of the last 30 days, on Navidrome 0.64.0 and newer.
Until now On Repeat took the songs you played in the last 30 days and ranked them by their all-time play count, so an old favourite you played once this month could sit above a new song you played ten times. Navidrome 0.64.0 lets a plugin read its own play history, and the new 0.64 download uses it: On Repeat now ranks by how many times you played each song inside the 30 days. A song needs at least 2 plays in that window. Repeated submissions of the same song within a minute (or within the song's length) count once. Thanks to moop250 on r/navidrome for the report.
Which file do I download?
- Navidrome 0.63.x:
navibeat-mixes.ndp. It works exactly like 0.9.19. - Navidrome 0.64.0 or newer:
navibeat-mixes-navidrome-0.64.ndp.
A plugin that reads the play history cannot load on Navidrome 0.63, which is why there are two files.
Important on 0.64: rename the file. Navidrome knows a plugin by its file name, and it keeps the plugin's settings and learned listening history under that name. Rename navibeat-mixes-navidrome-0.64.ndp to navibeat-mixes.ndp and put it in place of the old file. Keep only one NaviBeat Mixes file in the plugins folder, or two copies will build the same mixes.
The 0.64 file asks for one more permission, scrobbleRetriever: it is used only by On Repeat to count your plays in the last 30 days, and the data stays on your server.
To update: download the file for your Navidrome version, replace the file in your plugins folder (rename it first on 0.64), restart Navidrome, and enable the plugin again in Settings > Plugins.
