Mixes on a server you have not listened to yet
The candidate pool is now gathered from your newest albums as well as your favourites, your most played and your most recently played. Those last three are all ordered by listening, so on a server installed this morning they are empty however many albums were scanned, and a fresh install got no playlists at all. It now writes New Music, the genre radios and the decade mixes on day one, and the rest fill in as you listen.
Every mix is now actually ranked
Essentials, On Repeat, Weekly Discovery, the genre, artist and decade radios and the Daily Mixes computed a score for each candidate and then handed them over in the order they were fetched. "Your most played of all time" is now your most played of all time, and a Daily Mix opens on its anchor artist.
New Music ranks on the date a track was added
Using the created date every Subsonic song carries, instead of position in the pool. A server that sends no date keeps the previous behaviour.
Faster runs
Album ids are deduplicated across the three lists, so an album that is both most played and most recently played costs one fetch instead of two.
Install
Drop navibeat-mixes.ndp in your plugins folder and switch the plugin on in Settings, Plugins. There is no separate permission prompt: enabling a plugin grants everything its manifest declares, and the permission list on the page is there to be read rather than ticked. Navidrome disables a plugin whenever its file changes, so after upgrading, switch it on again.
