github ncecere/terraform-provider-litellm v2.2.3

Upgrade Notes

  • Patch release; no configuration changes are required. The tested backend remains exactly LiteLLM 1.106.4. The published provider source remains registry.terraform.io/ncecere/litellm; Terraform >= 1.1.0, OpenTofu >= 1.6.0, and Go >= 1.24.0 for provider development are unchanged, and only optional write-only attributes require Terraform or OpenTofu >= 1.11.0. Published examples continue to constrain the provider to >= 2.0.1, < 3.0.0. No schema changes; existing HCL, state, IDs, and imports remain valid.
  • If a litellm_credential apply failed under 2.2.1 or 2.2.2 with "Provider produced inconsistent result after apply" on credential_values, upgrade and run terraform apply again: the next plan shows one in-place update that rewrites the configured value. If that failed apply was a create, run terraform untaint on the credential first so it is updated in place instead of replaced.

Security

  • No security-sensitive behavior changes. Credential values are still never read back from LiteLLM; only LiteLLM's masked form is compared.

Fixed

  • litellm_credential multi-line secret values: A credential value that starts or ends with a newline, such as a pretty-printed GCP service-account key file in vertex_credentials (masked by LiteLLM as {\n****}\n), was not recognized as LiteLLM's mask. Create and update then stored the mask itself in state and failed with "Provider produced inconsistent result after apply: .credential_values: inconsistent values for sensitive attribute". The mask is now recognized for multi-line values, also for guardrail parameters that share the check, and a refresh of state written by 2.2.1/2.2.2 keeps that stored mask only while LiteLLM still returns the same mask, so the next apply restores the configured value. A different remote mask still fails closed. Compact single-line JSON (for example jsonencode(...)) was never affected.
