What's New: ✨

• The legacy status fields are gone for good — Trailarr removed the internal trailer_exists and stored status database fields, so your download records are now the only source of truth — see the roadmap.

• New Has Downloads filter — custom filters can check whether a media item has at least one downloaded video on disk — see Filters.

• Pick a local address for your Plex server — the server-selection step after Plex sign-in now offers a Custom URL choice and a Test button, so you can point Trailarr at a local address (instead of the external URLs Plex provides) and check that it is reachable before you connect — see Plex Connection.

• Season counts for Plex-only series — series tracked only through a Plex connection now get their season count from the seasons present in your Plex library (Specials excluded), so Season Count filters and views work without a Sonarr connection.

• Your database file shrinks after upgrades — Trailarr now runs a VACUUM after database migrations, so space freed by schema changes is returned to the filesystem — see Backup & Restore.

Custom filters are migrated automatically. Every change is logged at migration time with the filter's name. The exact transformations:

Bug Fixes: 🐛

• Dropdown menus open in the correct place again on new Chrome versions — a change in Chrome 151 moved the filter, sort, view, log level, event, and assign-profile dropdown menus to the corner of the screen instead of next to their buttons.

Other Changes: ⚙️

• The API no longer returns trailer_exists or status fields on media objects. Read the downloads list (any entry with file_exists=true) and the monitor flag instead.

• The Monitor Interval setting is removed from Settings > General and from the settings API — it has had no effect since v0.8.0; change each task's interval on the Tasks page instead.

• You cannot downgrade below v0.11.0 after upgrading. To go back, restore the automatic pre-upgrade backup — see Backup & Restore.

• Connection syncs no longer scan media folders for trailer files. The files scan owns trailer detection, so Trailer Detected events now come only from it.

• Screen readers now skip the app's decorative icons, and every icon-only button has an accessible name.

• With WEBUI_DISABLE_AUTH=true, the UI now hides the logout button and pauses live updates after inactivity (with a Resume dialog) instead of bouncing through the login page for a new session. The paused session id is deleted on the server, so requests that replay it get a 401 response.

• Trailarr checks the configured yt-dlp, ffmpeg, and ffprobe paths at startup, falls back to the system PATH when a configured path does not exist, and logs a clear error that names the variable to set when the tool is not found at all — see Self Install.

• When a download or scan fails because a configured binary is missing, the error now names the configured path and the environment variable to fix instead of a bare FileNotFoundError / [WinError 2] message.

• Trailarr logs a warning when a profile's yt-dlp extra options override an option Trailarr sets (for example -f); the profile value stays active — see Yt-dlp Extra Options.
