DeepSeek and MiniMax answer several requests at once, fixes for one-GPU and tensor-parallel speed, Qwen-3.8-Flash-Next
(CYBER-FROST) in the setup, each model's own defaults in the chat, your own EXL3 folders in the setup, and a new README.

  • DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash and MiniMax-M3.1-Flash answer several requests at once (#332): ./maya.sh --parallel 4
(Windows: START-MAYA.bat --parallel 4; up to 8), or the Models page's Answers at once, as for GLM-5.3-Flash - for
agents that run several sessions, or several people on one PC. Each conversation keeps its own state; two at once
write about 1.6x the tokens per second of one after another on a V100 with most of DeepSeek Maya-XS's experts in
RAM. MiniMax keeps every conversation's cache in VRAM, so KV streaming and its drafter
are off while more than one runs, and the setup recommends a context that leaves them room.
  • DeepSeek on one GPU with every expert in RAM (#551, @talisp): the one-GPU decode path now turns itself off where
nothing would ever stream from the disk (--mmap-experts off, or auto with all of them copied); it cost 4-9% of
decode on the reporter's L40S, and decode was 2.2x faster without it on a V100 test PC. Nothing to set.
  • MiniMax CPU lane (#552, @talisp): --cpu-threads N now means N threads in all, as for DeepSeek (it started
N + 1: about 1.3x faster decode with N = the cores); by default 2 cores stay free for the engine's other work on a
CPU without SMT (a VM's vCPUs), and decode times the CPU lane again when the start-up timing was off.
  • MiniMax prompts on one GPU (#552): the prompt calibration also tries larger chunks where most experts stay in
RAM and keeps one only when it reads prompts clearly faster without slowing decode: 1.9x faster prompts on a V100
with a quarter of the experts in VRAM.
  • MiniMax tensor parallel with DSpark (#556, @bandito1): the VRAM the drafter's GPU uses alone was left empty on
the other GPU of its group; that GPU now fills it with more experts (about 1.2x decode on a two-GPU test with half
    of the experts outside VRAM).
  • Qwen-3.8-Flash-Next (CYBER-FROST) in the setup: its Q5_K_M GGUF, pinned and checked, with its MTP drafter built
from the GGUF's own block (no second download), its experts read straight from the GGUF where RAM cannot hold them
all, INT8 KV cache, and the model card's settings (temperature 1.0, top-p 0.95, top-k 20; reasoning efforts low,
    medium and xhigh). Text only.
  • Each model's own defaults: the setup writes each model's card sampling and thinking level into its config every
time, the chat uses them until you choose something, and switching models starts at the new model's own. GLM gets
its Max level and penalty fields; Top-k and Min-p "off" take effect; a chat continued on another model takes its
nearest thinking level; the same seed gives the same answer on DeepSeek and MiniMax. The chat follows a streaming
answer until you scroll, and notifications get a close button.
  • Your own quants in the setup (#545 @sebastian-burlacu, #547 @misty-soverin, #528 @woodsonl): --model-dir
takes an EXL3 folder of GLM-5.3-Flash or MiniMax-M3.1-Flash at any bit rate, checked file by file, with the
folder's own sampling and chat template; a GLM GGUF with another expert count (a pruned model) no longer gets the
shipped 288-expert profile. The model list is shorter: unsloth's DeepSeek UD-Q4_K_XL and turboderp's GLM
EXL3 sc_4.10bpw are no longer offered (named by hand, or set up before, they work as before).
  • DeepSeek expert tables (#550, @handmade0octopus): two races closed - a streamed expert no longer lands in a
recent slot while its swap is pending, and a table update waits for the device's earlier one.
  • DeepSeek tensor parallel: a stopped prompt no longer wedges the pair (#539, @zhangxiaoxing): one GPU spinning
and the other idle until a restart. A request that stops moving for 10 minutes now ends the engine with a report and
the server starts it again; an engine stopped by a signal is no longer reported as out of RAM (#494).
  • More fixes: DeepSeek on a 2-socket PC no longer gets killed for memory at load with RAM free (#507,
@zhangxiaoxing); --calibrate measures the layer split too on two to four equal GPUs (#502, @noonghunna); one busy
moment at MiniMax's start no longer moves every expert to the GPU for the session (#548, @noonghunna); --bench
uses MiniMax's own chat format and engine on AMD and works with a --parallel config (#549 @noonghunna, #420
@oscarlius, #509 @knoodrake); Linux setups warn when systemd-oomd could end the session during a large load (#497,
@HansStrupat); the CPU expert kernel builds with an assembler without AVX512-VNNI (#535, @biochem-fan); a Windows
AMD build with only Visual Studio 2026's Build Tools says what to install (#544, @wonder-sound).
  • README: a shorter front page - quick start, one "pick your model" table with each quant under its own model
(#554, @AutisticPancake), quality, and every user speed report back in a closed section per model; each model's
    files and options in docs/MODELS.md.
