This is the official release of Munki 5.2: a feature and bug-fix update to the Munki tools.
This release is the same as Release Candidate 3; there have been no changes from that candidate.
The focus of the Munki 5.2 release is a visual redesign of Managed Software Center.app and MunkiStatus.app to more closely follow macOS Big Sur's visual style.
Munki 5.2 drops support for macOS 10.10.
Munki 5.2 is not a Universal release that runs natively on Apple Silicon. It should run on Apple Silicon via Rosetta2. See https://github.com/munki/munki/wiki/Munki-5.2-Information#apple-silicon for additional information.
Munki 5.2 changes:
- Visual redesign of Managed Software Center and MunkiStatus to more closely adhere to the macOS Big Sur design, and to more closely resemble recent versions of the App Store application. Thanks to Steve Kueng (@SteveKueng) for the initial work.
- New option in package build scripts to include a package that installs Rosetta. Useful for bootstrapping on Apple Silicon. Thanks to Eric Holtam: 5fd7f00
- Support in Big Sur for emulating a subset of configuration profiles using MCX functionality. This support is disabled by default -- set
