This is the official release of Munki 2.3, a feature release for Munki 2.
Munki 2.3 adds support for on-demand user installation/execution of certain self-service items. An item can be marked as supporting "OnDemand" install. When included in the list of optional_installs, an end-user can install/execute this item whenever they wish, as many times as they wish -- in other words, installing/running such an item does not cause the item to appear "installed". This can be useful to allow users to run scripts that perform maintenance tasks that normally require elevated privileges.
There were no changes from RC2; this is the same build.
Changes since 2.3.0 RC 1:
- munkiimport: Fix an issue when attempting to use receipts to match previous uploads when a receipt's package version number is not the same as the overall item/product version number.
- Clean build to attempt to avoid an issue with disappearing icons in languages other than English (this was a build problem; no code changes)
- Removed some abandoned code from the Git repo.
