Improves rainy Stormy Mountain performance in the optional Custom Renderer (widescreen) and fixes a shared cause of save-state/rewind capture stopping during a session.
- HLE geometry is now the shipping default. Native batches reduce CPU work while preserving the complete enhanced-renderer scene, animation and polygon output.
- A stationary rainy save on the development PC recovered from about 46 to 60 game frames/s at 64:9; 16:9 stayed near 60 with lower CPU use. These local results do not guarantee performance on the reporter's GTX 1060 or with every visual mod enabled.
- Capture guards recover after nonlocal guest exits, preventing abandoned callbacks from permanently blocking snapshots. Save/load, restoring an older rewind snapshot, and saving afterward passed. The original extended flower-area report has not been reproduced end to end.
- Reusable implementation binding, snapshot identity and capture recovery are integrated in psxrecomp PR #594. The release uses framework
4e758ff9, with the separate enhanced renderer retained.
Custom Renderer and other optional mods retain their defaults. Memory cards and settings carry over. Quick-save states from v0.19.0 and earlier are refused safely, so save in-game before updating.
Download the Windows ZIP or Linux AppImage. Both include fresh audited native caches for all 25 configured area/support images. Tomba-HD-texture-example.zip is the unchanged optional checkerboard example from v0.19. SHA-256 files accompany each asset.
