Windows ZIP and Linux x86_64 AppImage. Both players must use Playtest 9 and the same original disc. Unified cameras and Stacked lifebars remain defaults; Split is experimental.
- Fixes P2 and their HUD disappearing after X cycles weapons and fires a charged buster. Reused projectile slots retained a Gravity Well graphics pointer; the co-op renderer now honors the original static-artwork flags. Reproduced with normal weapon-cycle inputs and validated with X in either seat.
- Fixes empty Windows startup logs when launching without a console, including Explorer launches. The packaged executable now records startup and real errors under detached, no-window and redirected launches.
- Includes explicit co-op failure reasons and partner removal/return context in the automatic logs, even when gameplay input recording is disabled.
For bug reports, keep Playtest Diagnostics enabled, quit normally, then zip saves/diagnostics beside the executable or AppImage. Include the complete gameplay session folder, its inputs/settings/starting cards, and any video. startup-log-location.txt points to the latest startup log; diagnostics-location.txt points to the gameplay recording. For a netplay failure, send logs from both players.
Still open: item49's missing staircase shot was not reproduced. Ordinary and charged shots were visible on both Mushroom staircase sections with X/P1 and on the second section with X/P2. This release does not claim a separate fix for that report or every earlier disappearance report. Discord/WAN investigation and the other unresolved staircase/elevator reports remain parked.
Production validation:31 Windows and25 Linux title checks pass; hidden packaged launchers, full room offers and execution/co-op identities agree across platforms. Private development controls are disabled. No disc, retail BIOS, user saves or private recordings are bundled. The AppImage requires glibc2.38 or newer.
