Two-player co-op playtest for Windows and Linux, incorporating PR #23 and the first online sign-in fix.
- Fixes Windows account requests failing before socket initialization, which produced “Could not reach the lobby server to start the sign-in.”
- Updates the shared framework and network client while retaining co-op graphics/audio isolation, paired arrivals and the two-player launcher/controller UI.
- Unified cameras and Stacked lifebars remain defaults. Online Split cameras remain experimental. Side by side HUD and default-on input diagnostics remain available.
Download the Windows ZIP or Linux x86_64 AppImage below. Linux requires glibc 2.38 or newer. Supply your own original X4 USA disc; use OpenGL and this same release on both peers. Local co-op is enabled through Mods, and online play through the launcher's Netplay button.
Both production builds passed all 18 title checks. Fresh-process account startup, package layout/seeding and hidden launcher/controller checks pass. Windows/Linux execution identity, co-op profile and native room offers match. Checksums are included in SHA256SUMS.txt.
Full Discord browser authorization and real WAN gameplay still need playtester confirmation. Split Mushroom's elevator, intermittent retry/menu disconnects and broader Split performance remain open. This release carries forward previous gameplay fixes; it does not claim a new complete campaign playthrough.
