This release makes the Explorer faster to read and to drive. A command palette
opens anywhere with Cmd/Ctrl+K, the query editor completes and checks queries
as you type, and the results table stays readable on wide sources. There are no
database migrations and no config changes.
Upgrade notes
- A request for a missing file under
/assets/now returns 404 instead of
index.html. Hashed assets are served with
Cache-Control: public, max-age=31536000, immutable, andindex.htmlwith
no-cacheand an ETag. A tab left open across an upgrade reloads once when
it requests an asset that no longer exists.
Added
- Command palette (Cmd/Ctrl+K) on every page, including inside the query
editor. Go to any page you can open, Add Source, sources across teams,
saved queries, dashboards, alerts and collections, and run actions such as
theme, timezone, copy link and sign out. - Scoped searches from the palette:
@team/source status>=500 last:1hgets
team, source and range completion, shows the scope with concrete times,
and Enter opens the Explorer with the query running. On the Explorer, a
complete filter over the current source's fields (status>=500) needs no
@and runs in the current window. Other text searches the logs as a
literal (Cmd/Ctrl+Enter). - Ask Chef from the palette: type a question (or start with
?) and press
Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Enter. The Explorer opens on the scope, and the question goes
to the Ask Chef drawer as the first turn. The same scope continues the
conversation. Alert rows can start an investigation. Hidden when Ask Chef
is disabled. - Query editor checks LogchefQL as you type: errors are underlined, unknown
fields get a warning, and hovering a field shows its type and top values. - Value suggestions for every field, with counts. Low-cardinality fields
load while you type; other fields load on Ctrl+Space. Lookups are cached,
bounded and cancelled after 1.5 seconds. - Failed and pending values in outcome-like columns (
status,
delivery_state) get a red or amber badge. Success stays plain.
Changed
- The Explorer shows more rows: 13 instead of 3 at 1280x720, and 19 instead
of 8 at 1440x900. The query controls fit on one row, and the histogram is
shorter. - The timezone is a visible Local / UTC switch that also works in SQL mode
and live tail. The time range picker locks, with a reason, while SQL or
live tail controls the range. - A tip to filter on the table's sort-key fields appears beside the query
time, only while the query filters on none of them. - SQL completion has one provider, so keywords no longer appear twice.
Columns come first afterSELECTandWHERE, and values are suggested
inside string literals. - Results table: timestamps show in full at the column's precision without
the offset,Datevalues show the calendar date with no timezone shift,
column widths follow the displayed content, readable fields come before
opaque identifiers, and identifiers truncate in the middle so both ends
stay visible. - Source inspection leads with recent activity and storage totals, then the
details, schema and a collapsedCREATE TABLE. - Admin and account pages, and the source forms, use one page layout with
one primary action each. - Pages without a query editor no longer download the editor bundle: the
Teams page loads 742 KB of JavaScript instead of 5,732 KB, and the build
output is 7.5 MB instead of 19 MB. The Explorer starts its first query
sooner.
Fixed
- The timezone switch had no effect in SQL mode and live tail.
- The time range picker could change the range while SQL or live tail owned
it. - Copying
CREATE TABLEfailed on plain-HTTP deployments. - Source activity offered a Retry that could not succeed when the sort key
does not start with the timestamp. - Column headers truncated short column names, and several icon buttons had
no accessible name.
