Two new games: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (USA ROM), version 1.0.0, a beta, and Harvest Moon 64 (USA ROM), version 1.0.0. Both have save states, the game menu, the auto save on power-off and before sleep, and the Mini v4 / Flip full screen, as in the other games.
Majora's Mask plays the whole game at the N64's own 20 fps. It was compared scene by scene against an N64 renderer: Clock Town by day, by night, on the second day and in the final hours, the four regions and their temples, the bosses' rooms, the pause screens, the Song of Time and the transformations.
Put your ROM in App/MajorasMask/ as rom.z64 (or anywhere on the card). The first start builds the game data from it once (about 49 MB, in App/MajorasMask/data/). SHA-1 of the ROM: d6133ace5afaa0882cf214cf88daba39e266c078.
Known issues in Majora's Mask:
- The Astral Observatory's tunnel (under East Clock Town) is drawn about twice as bright as on the N64.
- The picture is a little sharper than the N64's (as in the other games, the N64's video filter is not copied); snow and ice show it most.
- In the Giants' Chamber cutscenes, a faint second image of Link can show in close-ups.
It's a beta: please report what you find, with App/MajorasMask/data/console.log: https://github.com/mr-finster/miyoo64/issues
Harvest Moon 64 plays the whole game. It was compared scene by scene against two N64 renderers: the farm through the seasons, the village, the shops and houses, the mountain and the beach, the festivals and the menus. Four in-game days were played through with diary saves, save states and the auto save. Your diary saves go to App/HarvestMoon64/data/hm64.sram.
Put your ROM in App/HarvestMoon64/ as rom.z64 (or anywhere on the card). The first start builds the game data from it once (16 MB, in App/HarvestMoon64/data/). SHA-1 of the ROM: 90631460f1876a14849df0541d534012b410a34c.
Known issues in Harvest Moon 64:
- Textures are drawn sharp: the N64 smooths them, so the picture is crisper than on a TV.
- Diary saves from N64 emulators don't load.
Both new games have only been played on the original Mini so far.
The other ten games are exactly the 1.1.4 zips (nothing changed, RESUME GAME carries over). Perfect Dark stays 1.0.4.
Full list of changes: Changelog.
To update, unzip the new zips over the old ones. Your in-game saves carry over in every game.
