Fixed

• Fix unconditionally-dangling references returned by get_<type>() accessors for bsoncxx::v_noabi::types::bson_value::value.
  • The unusable T const& reference return type is replaced with a T by-value return type to satisfy the API's documented behavior.
• Do not convert empty string-like BSON type values into null strings in v_noabi API.
  • This occurred whenever the BSON type value was accessed as a types::view or types::value, e.g. via element::get_*().
  • This affected BSON type values: string, symbol, code, regex, dbpointer, and codewscope.
  • This does not affect v1 API, where an empty string is always represented as a default-initialized string view.
• Do not invoke undefined behavior when copying or assigning null string-like BSON type values in v1 API.
  • This occurred on copy construction and copy assignment of v1::types::value given a null string-like BSON type value.
  • This affected BSON type values: string, symbol, code, dbpointer, and codewscope.
  • This did not affect string-like values when set to a non-empty value.

Changed

• Bump the minimum required C Driver version to 2.5.8.
