Prebuilt Wine 11.0 with giang17's Direct2D/DirectComposition patches (branch d2d1-dcomp-11.0), which fix black-window JUCE 8 / VSTGUI plugin GUIs under Wine (Pianoteq 9, Serum 2, etc.).

What this is: a stripped, prebuilt binary tree that installs to /opt/wine-d2d1 and does not replace your system Wine. Saves the ~30–60 min source compile.

Install (Arch/CachyOS) — not on the AUR (registrations frozen since the June 2026 malware wave), so install from this repo:

cd wine-d2d1-dcomp
makepkg -p PKGBUILD-bin -si     # prebuilt (this release), checksum-verified
# or:  makepkg -si              # build from source
