The first preview of the new Home Assistant integration. This is not a release of the YAML package.
modbus_sungrow.yaml on main is untouched and is not part of this. It has never had a release and keeps its own dated scheme; it stays as it is until the integration reaches parity.
What this tag is: an alpha of custom_components/sungrow_modbus, on the proper-ha-integration branch — the integration that will eventually supersede the YAML package. It reads the inverter, an SBR battery and a wallbox as separate devices over one shared Modbus connection, and it can adopt the YAML package's entity ids so recorder history and dashboards survive.
Install it by hand from this tag: doc/installing_a_preview.md. It is not installable through HACS yet, and no setting changes that: HACS resolves a repository to its latest stable release, or else to the default branch, and neither of those is this branch.
Expect it to change. Treat the migration as the part to be careful with.
The notes originally generated here listed every commit and pull request in the repository since 2022 — GitHub had no earlier release to compare against, because this is the first release this repository has ever had. Sorry for the noise in the notification mail; that part cannot be recalled.
