V3 added the isolated DEV harness and full Codex MCP support for ChatGPT Pro. v3.0.1 keeps those features, fixes the first regressions found after release, and adds experimental sub-agent support.

v3.0.1

• Added experimental cross-backend sub-agents. Native and Web parents can spawn Web children, and the Web agent -> Web sub-agent path was tested with a real child turn. This will keep being tested.
• Fixed completed sub-agent notifications being mistaken for a new user prompt. The parent now resumes the same turn instead of opening another tab and replaying the task.
• Fixed native pointer tab switching in the launcher: the draggable titlebar no longer eats clicks on the browser tab strip (#145).
• Closing a running browser tab now cancels that exact Codex turn and prevents the tab from being recreated.
• After the existing bounded retries, a confirmed ChatGPT Too many requests dialog now returns a clear Codex-side failed turn telling the user to try again in a few minutes (#144).
• Added explicit Compatibility V1 / Native sub-agent protocol control, exact Codex config restoration, bounded Web-agent waits, targeted cancellation, and broader release smoke coverage.

V3 highlights

• The isolated DEV launcher has its own home, browser login, connector, tunnel, chats, diagnostics, and control surface without touching the production Codex port. Named CLI chats, synthetic context fill, compaction, and simulated MCP actions make browser/runtime development reproducible.
• ChatGPT Pro can use the same turn-bound Codex MCP harness as the other Web efforts. Real tasks with filesystem, shell, patches, images, installed tools, and apps have been tested successfully.
• The runtime uses Bun 1.4.0, and macOS, Windows, and Linux packages are built and smoke-tested in the release pipeline.
