A broken installer now says why, and the smoke test no longer touches your real home.
antislop-ai 3.2.25 requires Node.js 20.12 or newer. The prompt library imports util.styleText, added in Node 20.12.0, so an older Node used to stop inside node_modules with a SyntaxError that named nothing useful.
Node 20.12, said in one line
- The prompts load only when the wizard starts.
--version,--mode, and--updatenever touch them, so they keep working on an older Node. - The check names both sides. One line with the version required and the version found, instead of a stack trace.
- CI runs the smoke test on 20.12.0, so the floor stays true.
Repairs from the community
- No pointer in the home folder. Picking "This project" from your home folder no longer writes
~/CLAUDE.md. From #48. - A real npm package page. The package ships the README and LICENSE. From #51.
- A smoke test with its own home. It gets a throwaway home at launch, so no runtime can write into the real one. From #52.
Also in this release
- The core skill stops carrying install steps.
skills/antislop/SKILL.mddrops the single-file wizard, about 7 KB that no skill route runs.antislop.mdkeeps it for the single-file route. From #54 and #55. - Roo moves to not planned. The project was archived on 15 May 2026, and its last release already reads
.agents/skills. From #53. - Every version surface moves together: the six plugin manifests, the root package, the cli package and its lock, the banner, the contrast MCP server, and
VERSION.
Updating is unchanged:
npx antislop-ai --updateA plugin keeps its own copy, so update it from its marketplace. The guide has the command for each door.
Thanks to @habibiahmada for #52, and @fajarhide for #51, #54, and #55.
