v3.2.1: 5 new UI slop patterns, 4 rule extensions

latest releases: v3.2.20, v3.2.19, v3.2.18...
one month ago

This patch closes the latest UI slop gaps. Five new patterns and four rule extensions, each still a filter, not a ban: every technique stays allowed when the purpose is written down.

Five new patterns (core + antislop-ui)

  • Bento Grid: the differently-sized card mosaic that became the default "app-like" layout
  • Fake Terminal Window: the styled terminal with typed-out commands used as a hero visual
  • Lucide Icons: any icon set chosen for its recognizable library look instead of relevance to the content
  • Colored Left Stripe: the thin decorative color bar on the left edge of cards, rows, and section headers
  • Demo Without a Product: a page that sells a product that is never shown working, with no real demo, Terms of Service, or Privacy Policy

Four rule extensions

  • R-06 Typography: the typeface roster is now explicit. Sans: Inter, Geist, Space Grotesk. Mono: Geist Mono, JetBrains Mono, Fira Code. A font that shows up because it is the default is a tell; the same font with a brand reason is fine.
  • R-01 Color & Gradients: the default palette family, harsh or rainbow gradients, purple-and-black schemes, neon or pastel palettes, radial orbs
  • R-07 Background: dot grids join grid squares, blueprint lines, and graph paper
  • R-05 Layout: bento mosaics, fake terminal windows, and always-three pricing columns are now named template tells

The Delivery Gate and the UI skill checklist were updated to audit the new patterns. Generate-test passed: all embedded violations were caught with the correct rule citations.
