Shopclass 7.0.0.rc1
Shopclass 7.0 is a big release and the base for the features that come next in the 7.x line. It opens your site to apps. A new REST API lets mobile apps, scripts and other sites read your listings, let people post and comment, and run the site with an admin key. Webhooks tell other systems the moment something changes. The API is off until you switch it on in Settings → API.
Pages are faster, with more caching, kept database connections and compressed files. With Redis or Valkey on a VPS or in Docker, background jobs start at once and busy counters stay out of the database, and the Docker image needs no cron line. Shared hosting works as before.
Sellers at the listing limit can buy an extra slot or account upgrades with credits. Themes get search snippets, related listings and search suggestions, and plugins get their own database migrations, an HTTPS client and address lookup. The admin is tidier and easier to use: one look for tabs, forms and lists, short help text, a layout that works on a phone, no Bootstrap JavaScript, and a media library for site images.
