🚀 Features & Improvements
- Bots keep their word: a bot's trust level is now enforced. Read-only bots really cannot write (file writes routed through Codexia are refused too), and Autonomous bots never stop to ask.
- Bot memory: every bot has its own persistent memory in
~/.codexia/bots/<id>/memory; delete the folder to reset it. - Bot MCP servers: pick which of your Codex-configured MCP servers each bot can use.
- Routines: schedule prompts that run as a bot, managed in the bot's settings. They also show up in Automations.
- Unattended runs: routines run in the background, answering permission requests from the bot's trust level and the tools you approved with "Always allow". A run that had a step refused is marked blocked instead of finished. Runs land in the bot's history with an unread badge, and the sidebar shows a status dot per bot.
- Notifications: a system notification when a bot finishes in the background (an in-app toast while the window is focused), switchable per bot.
- Bots can ask each other: a built-in
codexia-botsMCP server (list_bots,ask_bot) lets a bot hand work to another one, one hop deep. See docs/BOTS.md. - keke bundled: release builds ship the
kekebinary, so Bots work without installing anything. The bundled keke is always preferred, so an older keke on PATH cannot break bots; PATH and thennpx @milisp/kekeare used only when there is no bundle (e.g. running from source). MCP tools in bots need keke 0.1.32 or newer. - Optional anonymous usage stats: once you have created a bot, Codexia asks once whether to share anonymous usage counts (the answer is stored per machine and shared by desktop, web and phone; with no bots nothing is asked or sent); nothing is preselected and you can change it in Settings. At most one ping per event per day with the app version, OS and CPU arch — no ID, code, prompts, paths or names. See docs/PRIVACY.md.
🐛 Fixes
- Opening a bot in the web build (browser or remote access) no longer shows a blank page.
- Unread badges clear when you open the bot, and marking a bot read no longer reorders the sidebar.
- Bot notifications, status dots and unread counts update on every tab, not only while the Bot sidebar is open.
- Deleting a bot also deletes its routines.
🧹 Cleanups
- The bot's keke process is now built by the Rust backend from its stored settings.
- CI: release builds compile keke from source; GitHub Actions bumped (checkout, setup-node, upload-artifact v7, action-gh-release v3, tauri-action v1).
