Test build. Played on a Quest 3; PCVR is still untested in a headset. Tell me how it goes (issues or Reddit).
New: The Maze of the Kings (experimental)
Sega's 2002 NAOMI light-gun game by the HOTD team now plays in VR too.
- The hero's staff in your hand instead of a gun, made from your own copy the first time it starts (the game plays its attract demo by itself for a few seconds, behind a panel; B skips it). His glove goes on your other hand.
- Wider view: the maze is widened from 60 to 90 degrees in the game itself, and people and objects beside you are no longer cut away.
- HUD, subtitles and menus on a flat panel; no shot flash in your face and no floating "PRESS 2P START".
- Two guns work as in HOTD2.
- What to put in the headset's Download folder: your own MAME set,
mok.zip(with317-0333-com.pic, and the NAOMI BIOS in it or asnaomi.zipnext to it) plus the foldermokwithgds-0022.chd(a.cueor.gdiworks too). With more than one game on the headset, the setup panel asks which one to play.
Fixed
- Opening the app again while a game was still running brought back the old game instead of the one you picked.
- Floor streaks in The Maze of the Kings.
Everything from v0.2-test1 is still in: download and play, the agent's hands made on the headset, the US version, two guns, PCVR. Install steps and controls: see the README. Updating: install the new APK over the old one with SideQuest; your saves and hands stay.
No game is included: you need your own copy. Unofficial fan project, not affiliated with Sega. Source: this repository (GPL).
