This release focuses on improving the tagging experience, with a major overhaul of the tag management dialog, and a number of bug fixes and user experience enhancements.
New Features & Improvements
- Improved Tag and Group Editing: The tag management dialog has been redesigned for a more intuitive user experience.
- Editing a tag now opens a color picker.
- Editing a group opens a dedicated dialog to change its name, widget type (checkboxes or combobox), and whether the group name is shown in the Tagger view.
- Merge Tags: When renaming a tag to a name that already exists, you now have the option to merge them. All files associated with the old tag will be moved to the existing tag.
- Enhanced User Experience in Tagger:
- The Tagger view now provides better feedback when no files are selected.
- The tag panel updates immediately after a tag is applied or removed.
- The "Default" group is now displayed in bold to distinguish it from other groups.
- Improved Drag-and-Drop: Drag-and-drop functionality for tags and groups has been made more reliable.
Bug Fixes
- Tag Renaming: Fixed several issues related to renaming tags, including a bug that prevented rules and conditions from being updated correctly.
- Tag Groups:
- Fixed a bug that prevented adding new tag groups.
- Fixed issues with editing tag groups.
- Duplicate Tags: You can no longer create a tag with the same name as an existing tag.
- Tagger View:
- Fixed several bugs that could cause crashes or unexpected behavior in the Tagger view.
- Improved the handling of copy-paste operations for files.
- Latest Release Check: The logic for checking for the latest release has been updated to correctly identify the Windows executable.
