Sessions and terminal workflows

1. Restore Agent Panes and CLI conversations with saved layouts. Both Restore window layout and Restore window layout and content can bring back supported agent conversations; the latter also restores terminal scrollback. Off by default. #665
2. Use the source terminal's working directory for new sessions. Agent Pane startup and later /new sessions use the terminal context, not a stale helper directory, including normalized WSL paths. #744
3. Keep session titles current. The session list refreshes when the agent renames a conversation. #758

Performance

1. Reduced helper startup overhead. Helpers use identities supplied at launch instead of discovering themselves through repeated queries. Median COM-to-master connection time fell 56.0% for one-tab startup and 46.9% for the fifth helper in a five-tab burst. #833
2. Reduced context-collection overhead for Planner and Autofix. GetPaneContext gathers pane metadata and bounded output through one wtcli process, replacing two to nine, and cut median collection time 47.9%-88.9% (about 80-685 ms). #884
3. Less work rendering long conversations. Viewport-bounded height estimation, cached turn heights, and nearby-history materialization skip processing of older content. #659, #664, #666
4. Skipped redundant hook work. Maintenance avoids reinstalling current integrations, and helpers no longer forward duplicate hook events. #650, #871, #761
5. On-demand Autofix command lookup. The agent requests local command lookup when needed instead of precomputing spelling candidates on every prompt. #900

Sessions and agent lifecycle

1. Fixed sessions stuck at Ended or Idle, and restored sessions losing status. Session ownership survives resume and layout replay so later updates reach the right session. #713, #894
2. Fixed /restart hanging after a startup failure. Restart requests a replacement master when the failed task has already exited. #818
3. Fixed cancelled output reaching later turns. Cancellation waits for the producer to stop before admitting a new prompt. #832
4. Fixed agent switches stuck on Connecting. Replacement startup keeps its pending state and better isolates old and new generations. #883, #848
5. Better session preservation during cross-window moves. Transfers keep source ownership until the destination accepts, and rejected moves restore the original panes. #898
6. Fixed saved layouts during background activation. COM-only activation defers restoration until a normal launch, and startup Agent Panes are laid out before stashing. #551, #746
7. Reduced duplicate and ghost session rows. Hook processing avoids fabricating sessions from unknown end events and cleans up stale placeholders. #761

Autofix, permissions, and shell integration

1. Fixed dropped failure events and cross-tab Autofix. A tab's Detected action submits Autofix for that tab's source pane, and closing it clears pending state. #880, #822
2. Stopped assigning unidentified agent events to the focused pane. Events without a trustworthy pane identity no longer borrow whichever pane you are viewing. #657
3. Restored PowerShell shell integration after prompt replacement. Customizations like Oh My Posh are rewrapped at the next input boundary so command detection resumes. #662
4. Avoided duplicate permission prompts for session-owned tools. Matching Session MCP requests skip the redundant ACP prompt while keeping the action-card confirmation. History also distinguishes Run from Insert. #893

Agent Pane appearance and feedback

1. Fixed Ctrl+wheel zoom in Agent Panes. Zoom is handled before VT mouse tracking can consume it; plain wheel still scrolls chat. #877
