Improved card extraction
- Upgraded the card OCR model for more reliable character recognition, including better handling of spaces when card-number segments are merged.
- Expiry dates are recognized in additional layouts, including:
- day-first dates (15/06/2021)
- year-first dates (2021/06)
- formats that use an apostrophe (06/'21) or a backslash (06\21)
- Fixed CVV validation for American Express. Valid 4-digit Amex security codes are no longer discarded.
BIN intelligence
- We now list an explicit
binCheckResulton the card account:- Pass: BIN was found
- Fail: PAN was read, but BIN was not found
- Not available: BIN check was not run (including when the license does not allow it)
Privacy: redaction defaults
- Scanning now redacts sensitive card data by default:
- Card number: Redacted in both the image and the result; first 4 and last 4 digits remain visible
- CVV: Fully redacted in both the image and the result
- IBAN: Not redacted
- Cardholder name: Not redacted
Migration notes
- The UX view model now has separate inactivity and scan-step timeouts.
- ScanningUXSettings now has helpTooltipShowDelay and helpTooltipHideDelay for controlling the tooltip on the help button
