Claude Sonnet has been updated to Sonnet 5. ReaAssist now uses claude-sonnet-5 as the recommended Claude default, migrates saved Sonnet 4.6 selections, refreshes diagnostics and cost estimates, and uses Anthropic's promotional Sonnet 5 pricing through August 31, 2026.

Gemini capacity recovery is smoother. When Gemini returns a provider-side 503 capacity error, ReaAssist now offers a same-model retry when appropriate, suggests the best available fallback model, preserves the original prompt and attachments, and records the recovery path in diagnostics.

Generated edits are safer around audio reads, routing, and structured edits. ReaAssist now blocks nil-unsafe GetAudioAccessorSamples code before auto-run, recognizes routing-map send creation, handles more master-send and record-ready wording safely, and is less brittle with EQ gain phrasing and nested folder requests.

REAPER and SWS guidance is refreshed through REAPER 7.76. The bundled references now cover REAPER 7.75/7.76 changes including FX and send slot mapping, project dirty-state handling, automation item mute support, UI-ordered send slots, updated MIDI send routing notes, and clearer SWS/S&M startup-action setup guidance.
