Added

  • Added --chart and --values to mirrord preview start and mirrord preview diff to build previews from a Helm chart.
  • Added feature.kafka_branch, which points a session's Kafka clients at an
isolated broker shared by every session with the same key.
  • On Windows, feature.fs patterns can name a drive, as in ^C:/Repos/, and
the path_pattern template filter turns a path from the environment into a
    pattern, as in "^{{ get_env(name='TEMP') | path_pattern }}/(.*)$": "/tmp/$1".
  • On Windows, a stack overflow in the mirrord CLI prints the stack with the
size of each frame, largest first, so the report shows what used the stack
    up.
  • Select one field from JSON AWS/GCP secrets in DB branching.

Changed

  • Bundle a non-SIP-protected zsh in apple-utils, so /bin/zsh no longer
    needs to be SIP-patched.
  • BranchDatabase resources record the names of the sources they copy, and
their spec can no longer change after creation except for migrations.

Fixed

  • The README and the configuration reference show how to set
agent.disabled_capabilities, and mirrord warns about values in it that it
    ignores. #5026
  • A feature.fs.mapping pattern rewrites a path whose case differs from the
pattern's, as documented, instead of leaving the path unchanged.
  • A session whose process never connects ends after
internal_proxy.start_idle_timeout; IDE launches keep waiting for it unless
    that is set.
  • Fixed sendfile on Linux skipping data when the output accepted fewer bytes
    than were read.
  • On Linux, lstat through glibc's __lxstat no longer follows symlinks.
Node.js sees remote file metadata with the new
    experimental.hook_libc_syscall and experimental.old_glibc_support
    options.
  • On Windows, %TEMP% stays local by default even when the user name holds a
character such as ( or [.
  • On Windows, feature.fs.mode: "localwithoverrides" keeps a file local unless
a pattern sends it to the remote, instead of reading every file remotely.
  • mirrord no longer patches /usr/bin/security for SIP, so tools that read
their credentials from the keychain through it, such as Claude Code, no
longer make macOS ask for the keychain password on every run.
