Fixes
- Faster on Home Assistant 2026.10 and later. The integration looked up its device with a registry call that Home Assistant 2026.10 deprecated. Home Assistant now inspects the call stack on every such call, and the integration made it for every event it fired, so event handling took about twice as long. The integration now uses the per-entry lookup on newer Home Assistant and the old one on older releases. This also removes the deprecation warnings that said the integration "will stop working in Home Assistant 2027.8". (#381)
- Contacts are kept across a reconnect. A reconnect started with an empty contact table, so every tracked node logged "Could not find ... contact" until the companion sent its table again, which can take a long time on a large table or a weak link. The table is now carried over and refreshed from the companion. (#381)
- A tracked repeater whose contact is not on the companion waits its update interval and warns once, instead of retrying and warning every few seconds.
Features
- Download diagnostics: Settings > Devices & services > MeshCore > ⋮ > Download diagnostics. One file per companion with the traffic policy and lane credits, each tracked node's schedule, failures and route, and entity and cache counts. Passwords, keys, channel secrets and MQTT credentials are removed. Attach it to an issue. See Troubleshooting.
Notes
- Validation: 461 integration tests and 373 unit tests pass. Runs on the maintainer's Home Assistant 2026.10.1.
