What's New in v0.1.6
This update brings major feature additions including Live TV support, full season downloading, and expanded platform availability, alongside highly requested community features and bug fixes.
Major Features
- Live TV (IPTV) Integration: A complete Live TV experience with a dynamic setup wizard, categorized channel groups, and persistent playlists. Navigate easily using the new
/listand/configcommands. - Full Season Downloading: You can now queue and download entire TV seasons at once. Integrated confirmation prompts ensure you don't accidentally trigger massive background downloads.
Enhancements & Fixes
- Automated Subtitle Downloads (#17): Subtitles are no longer just for streaming. You can now select your preferred subtitle track prior to downloading, and it will be fetched and saved alongside your media file automatically.
- Structured Download Filenames (#16): When downloading a TV episode, the filename now cleanly includes the season and episode info.
- IINA Subtitle Fix (#14): Fixed a bug where subtitles were failing to load and attach correctly when streaming to the IINA media player on macOS.
Platform & Experience
- Linux ARM64 Support: Expanded platform compatibility with fully native
aarch64Linux binaries, bringing seamless support for 64-bit Raspberry Pi and ARM virtual machines. - Smart Installers: The installation scripts for macOS, Linux, and Windows have been entirely rewritten. They now provide clear visual feedback and handle in place version updates smoothly.
- Context Aware Commands: The command autocomplete menu is now context aware. TV commands are exclusively shown in TV mode, while streaming commands remain in Streaming mode, keeping the interface clean and relevant.
Note: To upgrade, simply run the installation script for your platform found in the README. It will safely update your existing binary to the latest version.
