Introducing Renovate Community and Enterprise Editions
This major release comes with a complete rewrite and renaming of Renovate On-Premises to Renovate Community Edition (CE) plus the addition of Enterprise Edition (EE). Renovate CE is the successor of Renovate On-Premises, continues its release versions, and remains free. Renovate EE is a new, paid product which includes horizontal scalability, enterprise support, and access to Mend's Smart Merge Control feature (the Merge Confidence Workflows API).
We have accordingly renamed most environment variables so please consult the documentation and migration guide in docs/.
New features
Renovate CE includes the features of Renovate On-Premises as well as a new administration API for increased convenience. It also now comes in a "slim" version by default, like the Renovate OSS images. For those who still want every tool pre-installed, you can use the -full suffixed tags.
Breaking Changes
This release is a major release because the product has been renamed, the container name has changed, and some environment variables have changed. Please see below for more details, and refer to the migration instructions in the ./docs/ folder for upgrading from earlier versions.
Apart from the rename, Renovate OSS CLI has been updated from v36 to v37.
