Caution
Evaluate before upgrading production. This release targets .NET 11 RC1, which has Microsoft's go-live support license.
Portway 0.10.1 applies response rules, backup addresses and retries configured on endpoints. It also fixes errors on empty responses and missing data on the logs page.
Before you upgrade
Search the entity.json files in endpoints/ for ResponseTransforms, FallbackUrls and Retry. If no file contains them, this upgrade needs no action.
- Endpoints that hide, mask or rename fields. Check the applications that use these endpoints. Earlier versions ignored
ResponseTransformsand returned every field unchanged. This version hides, masks and renames the configured fields. - Endpoints with backup addresses. Add each backup host to
environments/network-access-policy.json. Earlier versions ignoredFallbackUrlsandRetry. This version retries a failed request and then tries the backup addresses. A backup host outside the policy is blocked.
Fixes
- Security: Fields configured to be hidden or masked are removed or masked in responses. Earlier versions returned them unchanged.
- Fix: Fields configured to be renamed are renamed in responses.
- Fix: Endpoints with backup addresses or retries use them when the main address fails.
- Fix: An empty response from a connected service no longer causes an error or counts as a failure on the Health page.
- Fix: The Logs page displays entries from the last three log files, including with a level filter. The page no longer displays a file name.
