Use release v0.0.1-alpha.9 when validating against the 2026 MII KDS IGs. This release contains the 2026 package set. Later validator releases may move to the 2027 IGs.
The agreed 2026 baseline intentionally includes two exceptions:
- Microbiology: pre-applies the 2027 IG at
2027.0.0-ballot2. - ICU: retains the 2025 IG at
2025.0.4.
Other updated IGs are consent 2026.0.1-rc-4, molecular tumor board (MTB) 2026.0.1, and patient-reported outcomes (PROs) 2026.7.0.
For the local Blaze terminology server, scripts/terminology/package.json now pins the MII terminology BOM to 2026.8.25. This controls which terminology packages the download script installs. Pulling the new validator image alone does not update the terminology stored in Blaze.
See the complete IG and terminology configuration.
Upgrading to the 2026 baseline
-
Use the repository files from release
v0.0.1-alpha.9, including the updatedscripts/terminology/package.json. -
Set the validator image to
ghcr.io/medizininformatik-initiative/mii-fhir-validator:0.0.1-alpha.9. -
Update
IG_PARAMSin your existing.envusing this release’s.env.default. Your local.envis not updated automatically and overrides the image’s default IG list. -
If using local Blaze, download the updated terminology packages and upload them to your running Blaze server:
./scripts/terminology/get-mii-terminology.sh update ./scripts/terminology/upload-terminology.shThe
updatecommand also refreshes the locally generated terminologypackage-lock.json. These steps are unnecessary when using an externally managed terminology server such as the MII Ontoserver.
Existing FHIR package-cache volumes are not automatically reseeded when the image changes. Before offline use, populate the updated IG packages while online or seed a fresh package-cache volume from the new image.
