Bump version to 1.0.0
There are lots of architectural changes since latest stable release together with new features including support for MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL:
- Build and packaging: move to Meson, with automatic dependency and architecture detection and updated package support
- Database: add a modular database layer with SQLite, MySQL/MariaDB, and PostgreSQL backends
- ras-mc-ctl: replace the Perl tool with Python 3 and add database query, DIMM status, label, and memory-layout commands
- Events: expand CXL, ARM, and non-standard CPER support, including memory-sparing events and additional vendors
- Architecture: introduce self-registering modules and event consumers, with clearer ownership and lifecycle handling
- Reliability and documentation: improve resource cleanup, error handling, test coverage, and user and developer documentation
In summary, this version is a major cleanup and reorganization on the rasdaemon code, which has now better documentation, a modular design, a modern build system and unit tests.
As part of rasdaemon ecosystem, there is now a separate project doing functional tests with rasdaemon + QEMU + linux kernel:
