Tine Beta 0.9.0-beta.7

Fixed

  • Enter after a completed standalone $$…$$ formula followed by text now creates the next block (#862).
  • Escape in a Markdown or Org source block's code editor now reveals editable raw text, including the source delimiters; a second Escape leaves editing (#865).
  • Clicking a virtual journal's title opens the file created since the feed was read, including a file created externally under a different accepted date filename while editing delays the feed refresh. Before, the title could target the proposed filename and report that the physical page was no longer available (GH #863).
  • The "changed on disk while you were editing" banner clears automatically when a conflicted draft becomes exactly identical to the disk version, including after a later sync delivery. Differing versions keep the unsaved edits and conflict review (GH #875).
  • Ctrl+F highlights matching text in table and grid cells and brings the active cell into view (#876).
  • Author indicators on embed blocks preserve the embedded bullets' alignment (#873).
  • Merging two pages (or renaming a page onto another) keeps every alias of both pages. Before, an aliases:: line on both pages (Org: #+ALIASES:), or aliases written in a page's first bullet instead of above it, ended up as an ordinary block, so links to those aliases no longer opened the merged page. Nothing was deleted; the alias lines were moved into the page body (REG-CM-MERGE-LOSES-ALIASES).
  • tine command line: a write (add, edit, prop, move, delete, ref, embed) to a page name that two files claim, for example after a sync conflict, a case twin (Foo.md and foo.md) or a title:: that repeats another page's name, is refused and names both files. Before, it went silently to one of them and the other was never mentioned. Reading the page still shows the file that owns the name; page rename and page delete already refused (REG-CLI-DUPNAME-WRITE-ONE-TWIN).

Download an installer for your platform below. Windows and Linux ship both x64 and ARM64 builds (match your CPU). Windows users who prefer no installer can grab the portable Tine-Beta_0.9.0-beta.7_x64-portable.zip for their architecture. Windows builds are currently unsigned, so Windows may show a warning on first launch. The macOS build is signed and notarized. On macOS, if Tine repeatedly asks to access Documents, see the workaround in the README.
