Tine Beta 0.9.0-beta.6

Changed

  • Every property Tine gives its own meaning is now named tine.<name>, so your own properties with the same name stay yours (Discussion #825). A child bullet with your own quote:: no longer turns into a margin comment, and an author:: in your book notes stays a property row instead of becoming an author chip. Margin comments now write tine.quote::, tine.quote-prefix::, tine.quote-suffix:: and tine.author::; the command line's tine add / tine edit --author write tine.author::; folder exports record their folder as tine.export::; and the Favorites, Today's sections and Exports pages are marked tine.favorites::, tine.journal-sections:: and tine.exports::. Pages marked with the older tine/favorites::, tine/journal-sections:: or tine/exports:: keep working. If you made comments or folder exports in a 0.9 Beta, rename their properties with find/replace: on comment blocks and their replies quote:: → tine.quote::, quote-prefix:: → tine.quote-prefix::, quote-suffix:: → tine.quote-suffix:: and author:: → tine.author::; on folder-export query blocks export:: → tine.export:: (in Org files the same keys appear as :quote:, :author:, :export: …). Leave author:: on your other blocks alone (UI-PROPNAMES-USER-QUOTE, UI-PROPNAMES-USER-AUTHOR, REG-PROPNAMES-CLI-AUTHOR, REG-PROPNAMES-STABLE-MARKERS).

Fixed

  • Macros in config.edn named with keywords, as Logseq writes them (:macros {:bar "..."}), now work like "bar" names. Before, {{bar 5}} stayed raw text, and every macro listed after the first keyword name was ignored as well (GH #854, REG-GH854-CONFIG-MACRO-KEYWORD-NAMES).
  • A journal section shown under today's journal now sorts and groups by the View settings saved on its block on the sections page (GH #855, UI-GH855-SECTIONS-FEED-VIEW-PROPERTIES).
  • Review on the "changed on disk while you were editing" banner now shows the page's review of your edits against the disk version, also when the page is already open and scrolled down. Before, it did nothing there (GH #858, UI-GH858-CONFLICT-REVIEW-SHOWS-RESOLVER).
  • On Windows, images no longer look washed out next to other image viewers: Tine's windows now draw colours in sRGB (GH #804, REG-GH804-WINDOWS-WEBVIEW-SRGB).
  • The left sidebar's "All pages" heading is the same size as the other section headings (GH #704, UI-GH704-SIDEBAR-HEADINGS-ONE-SIZE).
  • Typing a page link in Quick Capture no longer shows the red error "Couldn't refresh the page list. The last loaded list is kept." in the capture window. Nothing was lost: the capture window asked for a list of pages it is not given, and page completion there never needed it (UI-CAPTURE-NO-PAGE-INVENTORY).

Download an installer for your platform below. Windows and Linux ship both x64 and ARM64 builds (match your CPU). Windows users who prefer no installer can grab the portable Tine-Beta_0.9.0-beta.6_x64-portable.zip for their architecture. Windows builds are currently unsigned, so Windows may show a warning on first launch. The macOS build is signed and notarized. On macOS, if Tine repeatedly asks to access Documents, see the workaround in the README.
