Two fixes for the 0.8.0 stable candidate. Fixes described elsewhere as "fixed for Tine 0.9 (development)" are not in this Beta; they arrive with the first 0.9 Beta.
Fixed
- Typing
DOINGno longer sends the rest of your text to the end of the block, and a strayCLOCK:line no longer blanks the page. The clock-in that Tine writes under a task (the:LOGBOOK:lines) moved the caret to the end of the block, so the next characters you typed landed after:END:; the caret now stays on the task line. Typing on afterDOINGalso no longer adds a second clock-in line. ACLOCK:line that is not inside a complete:LOGBOOK:drawer (for example:END: test) used to make the page show "This page could not be displayed" (TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'year')); it now renders as a time stamp, and any other time stamp shape Tine does not know renders as nothing instead of failing (GH #741, UI-GH741-DOING-CLOCK-IN). This happened on stable 0.7.x too. - On a long page with images, pressing Enter, Backspace or another structural key no longer throws the view back down or loses the block you were editing (most visible on Windows): the edit briefly re-lays out the blocks around it, and the editor no longer lets the webview scroll to that interim position; the view now moves only as far as showing the caret needs, and not at all while it is already visible, below any pinned parent rows. Not new in 0.8 (GH #745).
Download an installer for your platform below. Windows and Linux ship both x64 and ARM64 builds (match your CPU). Windows users who prefer no installer can grab the portable Tine-Beta_0.8.0-beta.8_x64-portable.zip for their architecture. Windows builds are currently unsigned, so Windows may show a warning on first launch. The macOS build is signed and notarized. On macOS, if Tine repeatedly asks to access Documents, see the workaround in the README.
