Tine Beta 0.8.0-beta.12

pre-release59 minutes ago

Fixes for the 0.8.0 stable candidate: pasting a copied link keeps its URL (GH #759), opening a PDF no longer pulls the reader back to the top of the page (GH #672), a backlink to a highlight of a PDF that was not open scrolls to it, multiline Org blocks no longer add blank lines at the end of the file (GH #741), and hidden id:: and collapsed:: lines stay in the block's property group. Fixes described elsewhere as "fixed for Tine 0.9 (development)" are not in this Beta; they arrive with the first 0.9 Beta.

Fixed

  • Pasting a copied link keeps its URL and inserts it at the caret, preserving surrounding text. Inline HTML formatting is retained, with links in the page's Markdown or Org format (GH #759).
  • Following a backlink or block reference to a highlight of a PDF that was not open yet now scrolls to that highlight, as Logseq does, instead of opening the PDF with the highlight marked but off-screen. The scroll waits for the page to finish drawing, happens once, and is dropped if you scroll yourself first (card hCAoxs).
  • Opening a PDF no longer pulls the reader back to the top of the page about a tenth of a second later: following a backlink to a highlight of a PDF that was not open yet, or scrolling right after opening one, could be undone by a leftover zoom adjustment from opening (GH #672).
  • Editing a multiline Org block no longer adds permanent blank lines at the end of the file when autosave runs just after Shift+Enter (GH #741).
  • Editing a Markdown block that has its own properties keeps the hidden id:: and collapsed:: lines in the same property group, as Logseq writes them. Before, they moved below the body text, where Logseq ignores them, so references to the block could break in Logseq (internal: REG-HIDDEN-PROPS-STAY-IN-THE-GROUP).

Download an installer for your platform below. Windows and Linux ship both x64 and ARM64 builds (match your CPU). Windows users who prefer no installer can grab the portable Tine-Beta_0.8.0-beta.12_x64-portable.zip for their architecture. Windows builds are currently unsigned, so Windows may show a warning on first launch. The macOS build is signed and notarized. On macOS, if Tine repeatedly asks to access Documents, see the workaround in the README.
