Tine Beta 0.8.0-beta.11

pre-release4 hours ago

Fixes for the 0.8.0 stable candidate: restoring a session keeps every tab on its last page, changing outline levels on long pages with images no longer makes the view jump (GH #745), the mobile editing toolbar works above the sidebar drawers (GH #751), page-property rows in Linked References keep their look after an edit (GH #753), switching table cells saves the previous edit (GH #754), and board cards drag even when another editor had focus (GH #756). Fixes described elsewhere as "fixed for Tine 0.9 (development)" are not in this Beta; they arrive with the first 0.9 Beta.

Fixed

  • Restoring a saved session keeps every tab on its last page, with its order, pins and active tab, instead of replacing the active page with the graph's configured home (internal card PVTI_lAHOAAbLVc4BhPsyzhDC3x4).
  • A stopped graph owner releases its lock at once, even while a process spawned at that moment still holds an inherited copy of the lock file's handle; before, the next owner could briefly find the graph still locked (internal: REG-OWNER-LOCK-INHERITED-DESCRIPTOR).
  • Switching table cells by double-click saves the previous edit; invalid numbers keep their editor open (GH #754).
  • Board cards drag between columns even when an editor outside the board has focus, without selecting text during the drag (GH #756).
  • Changing a block between outline levels one and two on long pages with images above no longer makes the view jump; structural edits preserve loaded image and measured window geometry (GH #745).
  • Page-property rows in Linked References keep the same appearance after editing, including other groups showing the same page (GH #753).
  • On mobile, the bottom editing toolbar stays usable above either sidebar drawer, acts on its focused editor, and reveals the editor above the keyboard while popups remain accessible (GH #751).
  • After a restore from backup, a page that was being edited when the restore began closes normally once editing ends, instead of staying open for the rest of the session. A component draft open across the restore (for example a table cell) no longer keeps holding back newer file content from that page after it closes (internal: REG-HOST-REBIND-ACQUISITION-RELEASE).

Download an installer for your platform below. Windows and Linux ship both x64 and ARM64 builds (match your CPU). Windows users who prefer no installer can grab the portable Tine-Beta_0.8.0-beta.11_x64-portable.zip for their architecture. Windows builds are currently unsigned, so Windows may show a warning on first launch. The macOS build is signed and notarized. On macOS, if Tine repeatedly asks to access Documents, see the workaround in the README.
