Tine 0.7.2

Added

  • Windows MSIX installs show that updates come from the Microsoft Store and disable Tine's self-updater (GH #307).
  • Android: Tine appears in the share sheet. Shared text, links and images become a new block at the bottom of today's journal, the same place quick capture files to, with the same "Captured to today's journal" notice. If an item can't be added yet, for example because no graph is open or saving fails, Tine keeps it and retries the next time it opens. A retry never loses the item; it can add it twice only if Tine is closed or crashes right after the journal was saved, or when an old share is reopened from Android's recent apps after Tine was closed. A share Tine can't save whole (more than 32 images, a file over 64 MiB, a non-image file, a file from Tine itself) is refused with a message instead of being saved in part (GH #608, REG-GH608-SHARE-INBOX-EXACTLY-ONCE).
  • Android: long-press the launcher icon for Today, Quick capture and Search. A Quick capture Quick Settings tile (with the Tine mark) opens today's journal with an empty block ready for typing (REG-GH608-ANDROID-SHARE-TARGET). Search and quick capture open with the keyboard already up (UI-ANDROID-ROUTE-KEYBOARD).
  • iOS: a Tine share extension saves text, web pages, links and up to five images ("Saved to Tine"), and they land at the bottom of today's journal the next time you open Tine. Pages of the open graph appear in Spotlight search; hidden pages never do. The Shortcuts app and Siri offer Add to Tine journal, Search Tine and Open page, and the Home Screen icon has Today's journal, Quick capture and Search quick actions (REG-IOS-NATIVE-INTEGRATIONS).
  • Shared items are shaped like Logseq's mobile share on each platform, using Logseq's :quick-capture-templates from config.edn. On Android links become titled links, video links become {{video}} embeds and posts on X become {{twitter}} embeds; on iOS the shared text and link are kept as they are (REG-GH608-SHARE-SHAPE-OG).
  • tine://today, tine://capture, tine://search?q=… and tine://page/<name> open those places in the current graph. They only navigate and never write (REG-NATIVE-APP-ROUTES).

Fixed

  • Android: the native library is aligned for 16 KB memory pages, which Google Play requires and newer Android devices can use; release builds also produce the app bundle Google Play takes.

  • Representable Windows graph paths display without verbatim prefixes; stored canonical paths retain existing graph identity (REG-WIN-GRAPH-PATH).

  • Cold launches from a Tine link restore the last graph before handling the link (UI-WIN-LINK-COLD-START).

  • New graphs refuse Windows access to WSL1 backing rootfs folders; existing graphs warn and remain openable, with advice to use \\wsl.localhost\<distro>\… (UI-WIN-WSL-ROOTFS).

  • Opening another graph replaces the previous graph's undismissed Guide announcement (UI-WIN-GUIDE-TOAST-ONCE).

  • A page that changed on disk while you were editing one of its blocks (a Syncthing delivery, another editor) now keeps the new text and your editor stays open on that block. Before, on Windows and Android an open code block, or a block whose SCHEDULED/DEADLINE line was not yet in its usual place, could write its old text back over the change and save it, and the editor closed (UI-CARRY-RELOAD-STALE-BLUR).

  • iOS (discussion #421): the folder-choice message now names both places a graph can live, On My iPhone → TineOutline and iCloud Drive → TineOutline. It said "inside On My iPhone", which read as if another app's folder there (such as Logseq's) would work.

Download an installer for your platform below. Windows and Linux ship both x64 and ARM64 builds (match your CPU). Windows users who prefer no installer can grab the portable Tine_0.7.2_x64-portable.zip for their architecture. Windows builds are currently unsigned, so Windows may show a warning on first launch. The macOS build is signed and notarized. On macOS, if Tine repeatedly asks to access Documents, see the workaround in the README.
