MAYDAY! - MAYDAY! - MAYDAY! (yes, I have worked the complete long weekend to make this release possible)

Added support for meter & vehicle devices [from the evcc configuration]

This release is a major step ahead, since with the new version of the Integration you can access different devices from the evcc-configuration screen. With the recently added feature to specify your evcc admin password (since 2026.5.0) it's now possible to access additional vehicle data (like SOC or range) when your car is not connected to a loadpoint.

Also you might will notice (after the restart), that the integration will show new devices for each meter that the integration was able to read from your evcc-configuration - So you will have new HA devices for Meters like Battery, PV or Grid (and might be others). The available sensors for each of these meter devices highly depends from it's type and your evcc data sources.

Allow me to repeat: In order to use the new meter & vehicle sensors, you must willing to specify your evcc admin password within the evcc configuration entry in Home Assistant. This implies, that HA will store your evcc admin password in plain text in the configuration entry. If you don't feel comfortable to do so you still have the option to build your own REST Sensors in HA (to access this data yourself).

How to provide your evcc admin password?

  1. From the Integration screen you can press the '3-dots' button and then select 'Re-Configure' from the appearing menu.

  2. Then in the configuration dialog, specify your evcc Admin password and close the screen by pressing 'OK'

  3. This should/will restart the integration and (hopefully) after a short while you will be able to see/access the new Devices (for each detected meter) and the available entities (some of them might be disabled by default).

in previous MAYDAY releases:

2026.5.0/2026.5.1 Server Shutdown Button

In the future there will be the option in evcc to (temporary) disable loadpoints (and probably other things). This can become quite handy in various automation scenarios (like make use of Tibber Grid Rewards). In any case the upcoming evcc feature (don't asks for release dates!) will require the restart of evcc, once a loadpoint have been disabled - and a restart of evcc (via the API) require the admin credential/password.

With the new release of this integration you have now the option (but you don't have too) to provide your evcc admin password in the HA integration. You can add it via the 'Re-Configure' option in HA.

Once you have provided the integration with the credential, you can enable the new button.evcc_evcc_shutdown entity (it's disabled by default). Of course you can enable this new button also without providing the admin password - but then obviously the button will not work :-)

2026.5.0 Bugfix for vehicle / loadpoints

In some rare cases, the session information might contain invalid duration information - this had messed up the session duration sensors (for both loadpoints and vehicles). If such sessions exist in your evcc instance, the integration will ignore these entries.

MAYDAY ?!

If you not grown up in the 90's - then you probably missed MAYDAY - it's actually one of the few tracks from Berlin that made it into my heart...

Please consider supporting me

Thanks to those who have already supported me in the past weeks or month that is highly appreciated! To the other users: I am putting quite an amount of energy and passion into this integration. Perhaps you could give yourself a little push (if you can afford it) and become a sponsor.
