📚 Reader Goodies — Release Notes

What's new and fixed for reading, bookmarks, and clippings. 🌟

This release is all about making your saved notes easier to read and your
navigation more reliable. All the things you highlight, bookmark, and collect
while reading are now easier to review — without ever losing your place.

🧾 What's in this release (summary)

✨ Read your clippings without leaving your book

• New clipping preview panel 🧷
  When you're in the Clippings list, a single press of Select now opens a
  clean, book-like preview of that clipping — the chapter, the page,
  and the full highlighted text, all visible at once.

• Press Select again to jump straight to that spot in your book (just like
  before). Press Back to return to the clippings list.

• Why it's great: you can now read and review a highlight without moving
  your current reading position — perfect for re-checking a quote mid-chapter.

• Bigger, clearer preview text 🔍
  The preview now uses a larger font with full support for accented
  letters and special characters (à, è, é, …), so the text is comfortable to
  read and nothing looks garbled.

• Fixed the preview layout 🎯
  The hint at the bottom ("Read full clipping here / Go to clipping in book")
  now sits neatly inside the panel instead of overlapping its border, and
  the chapter/page header is bigger and easier to read.

📖 Cleaner, more reliable text & spacing

• Spaces now render correctly in wrapped text 🧩
  When a paragraph is split across several lines, the spaces between words are
  now preserved perfectly — no more words sticking together or gaps missing in
  previews, the article summary, and info panels.

• Correct spacing in multi-line clippings ↔️
  When a highlight spans two lines of text, the gap between the last word of
  the previous line and the first word of the next line is now a clean single
  space — both when the clipping is saved and when you view it. Paragraph
  breaks are still kept where they genuinely exist.

🎯 Accurate bookmark & navigation

• Bookmarks now land on the exact right page 📌
  Selecting a bookmark (or clipping) used to occasionally land you a page or two
  off. Now the reader uses a layout-independent position to find the exact
  page, so jumping to a bookmark always opens the page you saved — whether
  or not you've changed the font or margins since.
