Linux needs glibc 2.38 or newer. The .zsync files are for AppImage updates, not separate downloads.

New to Fulldex? Each platform has a short HOW-TO for setting it up: Android, iPhone and iPad, Linux AppImage and Mac. The Switch one is inside its zip, and Windows and Linux have a README.txt in theirs.

What's new in this update

Manage Saves

  • A page for each game's saves: choose Manage Saves in a game's menu (now right under Play).
  • Your game save at a glance: when it was saved, its size, a health check, and how it stands with Cloud Saves (sync now, or choose which save to keep).
  • Save states: the ten slots from the in-game Save and Load pages, with their pictures. Play From Slot starts the game straight from one, and Delete Slot can be undone.
  • Restore A Backup, Export Save, Import Save (a .sav, or DeSmuME's .dsv), Open Saves Folder and Delete Save. Your save is always backed up before anything replaces or deletes it, and a changed save goes up to the cloud straight away. Deleting a save with Cloud Saves on deletes it in the cloud too (Google Drive keeps it in its bin).
  • A check before you play: if a save looks damaged (the wrong size, or blank), Fulldex says so first and offers the newest backup that looks right.
  • Saves Folder (Settings > Game List, on Windows, Linux and Mac): keep your saves in a folder of your own. Everything is copied there; nothing is moved.

ROM hacks

  • Hacks get their own saves: a DS ROM hack is now told apart from the game it is based on, so it no longer shares (and overwrites) that game's save. If a hack was already playing on the original's save, that save is copied over to the hack once, and the original keeps its own.
  • Patch files: put an .ips, .ups, .bps or .xdelta patch beside your ROMs and Fulldex puts it on your own clean DS ROM and lists the hack as a game. A patch that can't be used shows as PATCH PROBLEM with the reason.
  • Widescreen is tried on hacks too, with a note when they start.

Fixes

  • Fast forward: turned on from the menu, it now stays on whatever you press (#111).
  • Restore A Backup now works on Windows (it could not replace the save there before).
  • iPhone and iPad: the app can be sideloaded with SideStore again (#119).
  • Switch: Cloud Saves sync the save the game actually uses.
  • Phones held upright: a game's menu stays on the screen, pop-ups fit, messages no longer cover the bottom bar, and buttons no longer cover the writing on the Trade, Move Pokémon and Cloud Saves pages. Long Settings names go onto two lines instead of being cut short.
  • Phones held sideways: your games are in rows that scroll down, like every other screen.
  • Translations: pop-up messages show in your language, and the new words are in all seven languages.
