What's new in this update
A new launcher
- A glass launcher matching the in-game menus: Home with your games as box art cards, a Continue banner, your own tabs (Add To Tab, rename, remove) and Search and Sort. A Tiles layout and a Sidebar layout, both upright and sideways on phones.
- Themes: the Theme Editor (colours, pictures, text colour) and the Theme Gallery: browse other players' themes, try one before keeping it, and share yours with a code.
- Hub: Cloud Saves (sign in with Google and your saves follow you between devices, with a choice of which to keep if both changed) and moving Pokémon between your games.
- Settings in the same glass pages as the pause menu, in your language, with Updates (Check Now, release page, release notes) inside them. A ROMs page shows every ROM found and lets you hide or show one, and an About page has the credits, licences and bug reporting.
- Seven languages for the launcher: English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Japanese and Korean.
- Music Player with album art (Bottom Left, Top, Compact or Off), Discord status on PC, and Android keeps clear of the camera cutout.
- Coming soon: Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, with a countdown to 12 November 2026.
A new pause menu
- Frosted glass with eight tiles: Resume, Save, Load, Cheats, Companion, Achievements, Settings and Quit. Save and Load are a grid of slots with pictures.
- Companion: your party, bag, Pokédex, location, a guide and battle info, with a live window and status bar if you want them. Now for every game, including White, Black 2 and White 2.
- Separate Music and Sound Effects volumes, a Now Playing bar, and an on-screen keyboard of its own.
Fixes
- Spanish White: the widescreen layout works again (#96).
- Ruins of Alph puzzle: no longer a soft-lock with a controller (#108). The stick touch cursor now turns on by itself on every screen that can only be played by touch: the puzzle, Trainer Card signatures, Poffin cooking, Underground digging, contest dressing up, Ball Capsule seals and the Musical's dressing up.
- Multi battles (with a partner) in Black and White keep their HP boxes readable (#112).
- Fast forward no longer pauses when you start walking in the overworld (#111).
- Switch: quitting a game goes back to the game list.
- RetroAchievements: a login that fails because the clock is wrong now says so.
- From ClickingMaster and IamCarron: the Poké Mart panel's top row (#101), coloured bars beside a Bag evolution with its text box widened (#103), battle slide timing (#99), Fly landing (#100), no Bag flash in battles (#104), and saves found by the ROM's name (#72).
