Highlights

Poor quality AI submissions have been overwhelming the submission queue for some months now, kindly make sure that you understand the code that you submit and can react to developer's requests for clarification and modification if you are intending to submit a PR in future after the queue is reopened.

Breaking changes

  • HA 2026.8 is now required to avoid a deprecation message about UnitOfDensity units

  • button events: HA 2026.8 introduces standard event types for buttons. This integration has adopted these new event types, replacing any previous arbitrary event types that were used. Affects arlec_smart_button, linkoze_smart_button, loratap_zigbee_six_switch, nedis_zbrc10wt_remotecontrol, plantsio_ivy_smart_planter, plantsio_ivy2_planter, rse_tywfh301_gate. Any automations that trigger off the button events will need updating.

  • SD Status sensors and Camera Record switches have been standardized to use translations. Some naming variants have been migrated to use standardized names, but in some contexts hardcoded names may remain. If you have any automations or scripts using these entities, please review to ensure entity references are still valid.

  • Status sensors that used non-standard values with the same meaning as existing translations were changed to use the standard translation value. Automation triggers that trigger from these sensors should be reviewed to ensure the trigger values are still valid.
