Patch Changes
-
73f7c06Thanks @thrgreenwald! - App improvements.- A Docs link sits above Settings in the sidebar.
- Chat follows new output only while you're at the bottom: scrolling up to read stops it, and returning to the bottom resumes it.
- While a model is reassessed, its previous fit result stays visible instead of going back to assessing.
- Intel GPUs are listed as supported hardware.
-
73f7c06Thanks @anerli! - Qwen3.8 Flash Next NVFP4 is now a variant of Qwen3.8 Flash Next instead of a separate model. Its ID is nowqwen3.8-flash-next:gguf:nvfp4(wasqwen3.8-flash-next-nvfp4:gguf:nvfp4). -
73f7c06Thanks @thrgreenwald! - Install Magnitude with one command on every platform, with clearer progress and fewer failed installs.- The README and installation guides now use the install script on macOS, Linux and Windows.
- The installer shows each download's speed and time remaining, redraws without blank frames, and opens the desktop app when it's done.
- Slow connections no longer fail a download after 10 minutes; a download fails only when no data arrives for 60 seconds, and says so.
- On Windows, silent setup works again, and the installer asks you to quit a running Magnitude before downloading instead of failing at the end.
- On macOS before 15, the installer says Magnitude needs macOS 15 or later instead of installing an app that won't open.
- Ctrl-C, a closed terminal or a killed installer stops the download at once and cleans up after itself.
- On Linux without systemd, such as containers or WSL, the installer no longer offers server mode.
-
73f7c06Thanks @thrgreenwald! - More reliable Linux server setup and removal.- Network access is on from the server's first start, so a
magnitude server setupthat's interrupted still leaves a server other computers can reach; running setup again shows its access key. magnitude server removecloses the firewalld port that setup opened.- If the installer is interrupted while setting up the server, it says how to finish:
magnitude server setup.
