MyJDownloader Browser Extension (Manifest V3)
Full Manifest V3 conversion of the MyJDownloader browser extension, compliant with Chrome Web Store requirements.
Versioning change: starting with this release, versions follow
YYYY.M.RELEASE, where the last number counts releases within the month (this is the fourth release of July 2026, hence 2026.7.4). Earlier tags used the day of the month (v2026.7.13.1 was July 13th), so this number is smaller than the previous release's despite being newer; release dates on this page are authoritative for ordering. This release briefly existed as v2026.7.21 under the old scheme; it is the same code.
What's New in 2026.7.4
- Click'n'Load links reach JDownloader again (#10): intercepted CNL payloads with cleartext links are now sent directly; previously the send reported success while JDownloader received nothing. All three CNL transports (fetch, XHR, classic form POST) and encrypted payloads verified live. Thanks @BlackScript.
- Captured requests target a real JDownloader instead of "Save for later" (#11): device selection no longer locks onto the Save-for-later placeholder on a cold cache, the live device load waits for the connection to settle, and a failed load leaves you in manual mode with a visible error instead of silently re-saving. Thanks @BlackScript.
- Behavior change: the 3 second auto-send countdown now works (#12): captured links auto-send to your selected device after 3 seconds by default, as originally designed. Click the toolbar while it counts down to adjust or cancel. Thanks @BlackScript.
- Right-click with text selected works again (#15): the selection path of the context menu was silently dead in the MV3 port; the background script now handles the content script's reply.
- Connection established on browser start (#13): the "!" badge clears on its own shortly after Chrome starts, without opening the popup, including when Chrome creates the offscreen document without storage access at cold start. Thanks @BlackScript.
- Dark mode (#14): light, dark, and system theme switcher in the extension settings. Thanks @BlackScript.
- CI overhaul: pull requests into the dev integration branch now run the full test suite (215 tests) and security scanning.
Note: CAPTCHA solving has been verified through code path analysis and unit tests but has not been tested end-to-end with a live JDownloader instance. Please report your experience if the extension handles a CAPTCHA for you.
