HelixSR 3.2.0 (pre-release)
HLX FSR 4 now comes built, the setup is faster, and GTX 16 cards get HLX DLSS's faster output kernel.
What's new
- HLX FSR 4 comes built. Its shaders are made from AMD's FSR SDK 2.4.0 (FSR 4.1.2, MIT) and ship in the ZIP: the same HLX FSR 4 as the 3.1.0 setup builds, bit for bit.
- The setup no longer downloads AMD's driver package or builds HLX FSR 4 (a few minutes less).
- HLX FSR 4 works as a drop-in straight from the ZIP: in an FSR 3.1 game, rename the game's
amd_fidelityfx_upscaler_dx12.dlltoamd_fidelityfx_upscaler_dx12.amd.dll, copyHLX-FSR4\amd_fidelityfx_upscaler_dx12.dllin, pick AMD FSR in the game. SeeREADME.md.
- AMD's own FSR next to HLX FSR 4 in HelixSR Scaler is FSR 4.1.2 (FSR SDK 2.4.0).
- GTX 16 (GTX 1650 / 1660): HLX DLSS's faster output kernel runs on drivers that refuse its larger builds, in smaller passes (same picture). Where a driver takes none of them, that one kernel runs in 16-bit while the rest stays 32-bit. INT8 is on by default there (set
Int8=autoinOptiScaler.ini[HelixSR] if an older install set it off).
Everything else is as in 3.1.0. This release has no HelixSR frame generation.
Install
- New: download
HelixSR-3.2.0.zip, extract it, and runhelixsr-setup.bat(Windows) or./helixsr-setup.sh(Linux / Steam Deck). SeeREADME.mdinside. - From 3.1.0: extract 3.2.0 into a new folder and run its setup. For games that have HelixSR it asks Update?: press Enter.
HelixSR Scaler 2.1.0 comes with the download (GPL-3.0, source: https://github.com/lonewolf0622/HelixSR-Scaler). AMD's FSR SDK files are under AMD's MIT license (see THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md).
