HelixSR 1.9.0 experimental
Improved image clarity.
Experimental: int8 network. On GPUs with fast int8 dot products (AMD RDNA 2 and newer, Radeon VII), most of the network now runs with 8-bit integer math: expected about 15% faster (an estimate; we could not test it on such a GPU). The output differs from the normal network only invisibly (about 60 dB PSNR on our test frames). On by default on those GPUs; helixsr.ini [Upscaling] Int8 = off turns it off. Reports welcome.
Experimental: Radeon Vega. Vega 56/64, Radeon VII and Vega graphics in Ryzen APUs now run HelixSR (every shader with 64 lanes, automatic) instead of being refused. Not tested on a real Vega GPU; the same path forced on our test GPU gives the same image. Please report how it runs, with helixsr.log.
Also: Ultra Performance option [Upscaling] UpscaleFilter = easu for the final pass (FSR 1 EASU; default stays lanczos).
Updating: extract 1.9.0 into a new folder and run its setup; it builds the network and updates your games.
If 1.9.0 does not work for you, use HelixSR 1.8.1 and please open an issue with helixsr.log.
