✨ New
- Flow: Home → Flow (replaces the Mix tab) plays your music without end, mixing your favourites with fresh finds. No song plays twice, and no artist plays twice in a row.
- Moods: Flow, Love, Workout, Chill, Party, Focus and Melancholy.
- Flow Tuner: set Personal ↔ Adventurous and All-time ↔ Recent, and choose genres to leave out or hear more of.
- Fresh finds from online: songs recommended by Last.fm or YouTube Music are mixed in, more of them the more adventurous the tuner. In a mood, they're songs similar to your own that fit it, each one checked for pace and loudness before it plays.
- Quick start: the shuffle button next to the search box starts Flow. Right-click it to pick a mood.
- AutoMix: smooth, beat-matched transitions between songs, in Settings → Playback → Song Transitions (Off, Crossfade or AutoMix). Each song's tempo, key and ending are analysed so the next one blends in. While songs mix, the next cover grows in through soft, cloudy shapes.
- Casting: play to Google TV, Android TV, Chromecast and Nest speakers from the Cast button next to the search box.
- Your queue, shuffle and repeat keep working. Play, pause, seek, volume and media keys control the TV.
- A TV that isn't found can be added by its IP address.
- Choosing "This computer" brings playback back from the same moment.
- Spotify likes sync: Settings → Integrations → Spotify → Sync Likes. Songs you like in Lokal are liked on Spotify, and songs you like on Spotify from then on are liked in Lokal. Your older Spotify likes are never imported.
- Music video lyrics: the lyrics' translation or romanization now shows under each subtitle line, with Translate and Aa buttons in the video controls. Synced lyrics can also show at the side, where you can pick another lyrics source.
- Library jobs in the Downloads panel: Downloads → Others can now run Index Lyrics and Fill In Genres, alongside the other library jobs.
🔧 Improved
- Faster skips: the streams of the next four songs are prepared ahead of time, so the next one starts right away.
- Settings: Integrations is now the first tab, and the one Settings opens on.
- Music video: the control that shifts the video against the song is now called "Offset".
🐛 Fixed
- Reopening Lokal: closing the window could leave Lokal running in the background, so it wouldn't open again. Closing it now fully quits.
- Player bar: no longer stays stuck on the previous song's title, artist and cover after songs change while the window is minimized.
- Side panel after the mini player: it no longer shows the Queue or Lyrics over the tab you picked.
- Light theme: the onboarding titles and the mini player's title are readable again.
